Jakarta, August 5th 2020

PT Cipta Mortar Utama, a company of Saint-Gobain Group, the world leader in construction and building materials, is currently taking mitigation actions against Covid-19 in one of its production facility located in Gresik, East Java-Indonesia.

PT Cipta Mortar Utama (CMU) just received confirmation that two production operators in CMU Gresik were positive to COVID-19. The health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers and all our stakeholders is our utmost priority. Therefore, a temporary shut-down of the Gresik plant was decided until the end of this week to prevent any spread of the virus and conduct intensive disinfection of all plant facilities, including machines, raw materials and finished goods. In the meantime, PT Cipta Mortar Utama promptly provided relevant medical treatment to both employees, whose condition is stable, and conducted contact tracing and tests for all employees and contractors at CMU Gresik.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis, PT Cipta Mortar Utama has been implementing a very strict protocol to protect the health and safety of all its stakeholders. We are committed to respect all governmental guidelines and Saint-Gobain’s highest safety standards.
