Strengthen the Position of the Leading Mortar Company in Indonesia, PT Cipta Mortar Utama Inaugurates MU-Weber R&D Centre
PT Cipta Mortar Utama always strives to continue to support the growth of the innovative building materials industry in Indonesia, and strengthen their commitment to improve the quality of life by producing high quality mortar.
The R&D Centre (Centre for Research and Development), which was inaugurated on September 18th, 2018, is a tangible proof of this commitment.
The MU-Weber R&D Centre was inaugurated by Jose Martos, Managing Director of Saint-Gobain Indonesia Construction Product Sector, accompanied by Rofik Hartanto, Director of R&D and QC and Young Jae Rho, Operations Director of PT Cipta Mortar Utama. The building which occupies an area of approximately 400 m2 is formalized to support strategic planning, develop products, and add value to the MU-Weber’s product formulation in Indonesia.
In his remarks, Jose Martos said that MU-Weber R&D Centre received full support from Weber International in various aspects, from human resource development, product knowledge, the newest materials, to the provision of laboratory equipment that meets international standards in the mortar industry. This support was provided to help PT Cipta Mortar Utama to produce the best products.
The development of local material potential becomes one of MU-Weber R&D Centre goals. Rofik Hartanto explained that by adapting local material to each product formula, this facility will be able to produce the best products that remain equivalent in all MU-Weber factories, so that cost benefits can be achieved.
Through this inauguration of MU-Weber R&D Centre, PT Cipta Mortar Utama hopes to be able to continue to be an important part of Indonesia’s and MU-Weber’s development as the leader of the mortar industry in Indonesia.
